Conservative no-till practices performed at Saskatchewan’s farmlands for greenhouse gas emission reductions
Custom Agricultural Intelligence Inc works on shifting from conventional farming to conservative cropping. The reduction of carbon dioxide (CO2) and nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions are resulted from less soil disturbance. Fewer vehicles and agricultural equipment in the farmland also help to reduce fossil fuel consumption and thus decrease GHG footprint for the farmlands. Furthermore, under no-till management, the amount of carbon sequestered in the soil is increasing.
