Project Description
The validity period for this EPD was for 03/21/2016 to 03/20/2021. This copy is for informational purposes only.

Cement is a fine powder manufactured by chemically combining calcium, silicon, aluminum, iron and other ingredients in a closely controlled process. When mixed with water, cement sets and then hardens into a solid, strong material. Cement is mainly used to bind fine and coarse aggregates together in concrete. Concrete is used in a myriad of building and civil engineering works. This EPD covers two types of cement: Portland cement (as defined by CSA A3001 & ASTM C150, ASTM C1157) and Portland-Limestone Cement (as defined by CSA A3001 & AASHTO M85 and ASTM C595, ASTM C1157, AASHTO M240).
